ssIMPLEk Stick ECOplus for Yamaha – Tuning for MORE range!

The sIMPLEk Stick ECOplus is the first tuning tool to tune the range of your E Bike. This tuning tool does not take away the 25 km/h speed limit of the engine support, but provides a significant increase in range (up to 20 percent). The sIMPLEk Stick ECOplus is the optimal tuning tool if you want to ride a very long distance with the E Bike or simply avoid running out of power on the road.

The functionality of the sIMPLEk Stick ECOplus is as simple as it is ingenious:

After the sIMPLEk ECOplus Stick has been installed, it causes a phase-wise reduction of the factory integrated speed limitation of the motor support.

This means: As soon as the ECOplus stick detects a constant speed, the engine support is gradually switched off. If the speed falls below a certain value or if a certain period of time is exceeded, the motor support is switched on again slowly. This procedure results in a significantly increased range, because more muscle power is required from the driver. Overall, an energy saving of up to 20 percent is possible in the ECOplus mode.

By the way, the 25 km/h speed limitation of the engine support remains completely unaffected.

You have the option of mounting the sIMPLEk ECOplus stick to your E Bike in a position of your own choice - the most practical way is to attach it directly to the handlebar.

Note: The sIMPLEk Stick ECOplus is delivered as a kit, which you have to assemble yourself. However, since only 4 components are involved, namely the circuit board, USB plug, housing and connection cable, the assembly is really simple. The installation is also simplified because the board is already equipped with the necessary SMD components (in the delivery state). In principle, all you have to do is insert the USB connector on the board and solder it (using a soldering iron, of course). Then all you have to do is insert the board and the USB plug into the supplied USB case.

sIMPLEk Stick ECOplus for Yamaha - Installation

The installation of the sIMPLEk Stick ECOplus is uncomplicated. The connection cable of the stick must be connected before the original sensor of the electric bike. To do this, you must first remove the stone chip protection and then loosen the screws of the motor until it can be swivelled out of the frame. This gives you access to the connectors. Then you have to unplug the speed sensor and connect sIMPLEk between the motor and the speed sensor.

Fix the motor again and reattach the previously removed screws. Now you only have to lay the USB connection cable to the desired position of the SIMPLEk ECOplus stick and fix it with the supplied cable ties. We recommend attaching the stick directly to the handlebars so that you can attach or remove it at any time.

To activate the ECOplus mode, simply insert the sIMPLEk Stick and the range of your E Bike will be significantly increased.

Even when the ECOplus mode is activated, the correct speed can still be read on the E Bike Display. Up to a speed of 30 km/h the current speed is indicated 1:1. Above this speed or when the motor support is decoupled, the current speed is displayed via the second digit and the decimal place of the display. Here are a few examples:

17 km/h on the display = 17 km/h in reality

31,8 km/h on the display = 18 km/h in reality

33,5 km/h on the display = 35 km/h in reality

Note: When using this tool for the first time, a one-time calibration is necessary in order to make sure the actual speed is being displayed correctly for each wheel size if the ECOplus mode is activated.
