siMPLEk Pro for Brose
This tuning module is a recommendable and particularly inexpensive solution if you simply want to remove the annoying speed limitation of your Brose E Bike - nothing more, nothing less. After installation, the sIMPLEk Pro module completely removes the 25 or 45 km/h speed limit, so that you can finally experience the full potential of your Brose engine. The functional scope of this tuning tool is limited to the absolute essentials.
In comparison to some other cheap tuning tools, the real speed remains readable even when the sIMPLEk tuning is activated - although not 1:1, but (from a speed of 10 km/h) via the second digit and the first decimal place of your E Bike speedometer. This means that a speed display of 14.2 km/h actually corresponds to a speed of 42 km/h etc.
Other values such as maximum speed and total distance are also displayed correctly, but these parameters are only adjusted after approx. 1 minute at standstill.
When you switch on your E Bike, the sIMPLEk module is always deactivated. To activate the tuning, you first have to switch on your Brose E Bike. Immediately afterwards, switch your E Bike to deep sleep mode by holding down the power button on the control unit (or at the battery) for at least 3 seconds. Wait 5 seconds and turn on the E Bike again - a 10 km/h speed indication will appear, indicating that the tuning has been activated.
Important note: The sIMPLEk "Pro" tuning modules are finished products - unlike the previous sIMPLEk tools you do not need to assemble this module yourself.
The sIMPLEk Pro tuning module is made in Germany.
The installation of this tuning module is easy and should be no problem even for technical laymen. In principle you only have to pull a plug on the engine and connect the sIMPLEk.
Proceed as follows to install the sIMPLEk Pro tuning module:
Remove the crank handle, using a crank puller if necessary. Then remove the engine cover and pull the speed sensor plug. Now you have to cut the speed sensor cable so that you can connect the various wires to the insulation displacement terminal. Slide the cable ends into the insulation displacement terminals, making sure that the polarity is correct. Fix the cables by pressing the insulation displacement terminal together. Attach the motor cover and the crank again.
To install the module you will need a Torx 20 socket wrench, an 8 mm Allen wrench and possibly a crank puller (if the crank cannot be removed by hand).
Advantage: After mounting, the tuning module is not visible from the outside.
After the installation a one-time calibration is necessary, so that the correct speed can be read with each wheel circumference.
