MBIQ-CC (Universal)

A universal tuning solution which is compatible with E Bike engines from different manufacturers, as long as the engines are equipped with 2-wire speed sensors - e.g. with various Bosch, Shimano Steps, Brose Drive S and Panasonic drive systems (for exact compatibility see below). The microcontroller-based MBIQ-CC tuning kit completely removes the 25 km/h speed limit of E Bike drives, allowing you to finally enjoy the full potential of your motor. Further functions are not available with this tuning tool. The functional range of the MBIQ-CC is therefore limited to the absolute essentials - the removal of the speed limitation.

Please note: When the tuning is active, the E Bike display will no longer show correct values (from approx. 25 km/h). The displayed speed always remains at ≤ 25 km/h.

Thanks to a push-in terminal connection, the installation of the tool is extremely simple; no soldering or similar work is necessary. The tuning tool requires very little installation space and can therefore be mounted in a space-saving manner.

The MIQ-CC is completely maintenance-free and requires no additional power supply / battery.

Functionality

After installation, the MBIQ-CC analyzes the current speed profile and delivers manipulated values when the tuning is switched on. In concrete terms, this means that speeds above 25 km/h are blocked for the engine firmware, which completely removes the previously existing 25 km/h speed limitation.

By the way: The analysis of the engine software is not affected by the manipulated values. There is no interference with the firmware.



Three operating modes:

The MBIQ-CC tuning tool allows you to set three different operating modes by means of specific, sequential wheel movements:

  1. Tuning permanently activated (the limitation of the motor support is removed. No correct speed display from a speed of approx. 25 km/h).
  2. Tuning permanently deactivated (motor support only up to 25 km/h, the displayed speed corresponds to the real speed).
  3. Tuning activation depending on the switch-on condition: Here you can determine whether the tuning should be active or not when you switch on the E Bike. To activate the tuning, the magnet must be in front of the sensor for approx. 3-4 seconds during startup.




Easy installation

The installation of the MBIQ-CC is basically easy, because the tool basically only has to be integrated into the sensor cable of the E Bike - this works quite simply via "Push In" clamp.

For explanation: Every E Bike is equipped with a sensor for speed measurement, which receives impulses from a magnet per wheel revolution. The magnet is located either on a rear wheel spoke or on the brake disc.

Before starting installation work, first remove the battery. Then you must gain access to the sensor plug in the engine compartment and disconnect the plug from the control unit. In some cases the left crank arm must be removed to get access to the engine compartment.  Then the MBIQ-CC must be inserted into the cable between the plug and the sensor using the "Push In" clamp. Please note that the sensor cable must be cut for this purpose.

Note: If you want to restore the original condition of the E Bike at a later date, you can purchase the sensor as an original spare part.
