An innovative tuning tool that scores with a practical double function: With DoubleDongle you can either make your e-bike faster within seconds - or reduce the maximum speed!
The DoubleDongle comes with only one set of cables, but two dongles:
- The normal "tuning" dongle removes the 25 km/h speed limit of your Brose / Conti drive so that you can ride much faster with full motor support - so this is a classic tuning tool. However, as the real achievable top speed is limited by the cadence, this should be around 40 km/h.
- The other dongle, also known as the "limiter", reduces the maximum motor support from 25 km/h to 18 km/h. This means that with the DoubleDongle you have a maximum speed of 18 km/h.
With the DoubleDongle, you have the choice between 2 dongles - one makes the e-bike faster, the other reduces the maximum speed. Thanks to the plug-in design, you can easily switch between the two dongles at any time. By the way, by removing the respective dongle, your e-bike immediately regains its original driving characteristics (motor support up to 25 km/h).
The way the DoubleDongle works is simple but ingenious:
After the cable set of the DoubleDongle has been installed and the respective dongle has been plugged in, the dongles have the following effect: From a speed of 10 km/h, the "tuning" dongle halves the speed transmitted by the speed sensor, so that the preset speed limit is outsmarted or cancelled. Please note that your e-bike display will then only show half of the actual speed. The "Limiter" dongle, on the other hand, doubles the transmitted speed so that the level of maximum motor assistance is limited - in this case, the motor already stops at a speed of 18 km/h. Please note that with the "Limiter" dongle the speedometer will show twice the real speed. The kilometres travelled and the range will also no longer be correctly indicated (with both dongles).
E-bike tuning to be able to ride faster is nothing new - but why would you need a dongle that does not increase the speed but reduces it? Yes, there are cases where this can be extremely useful:
- For some older people or unsteady drivers, a speed of 25 km/h may already be too fast subjectively.
- For children, reducing the maximum motor assistance makes a lot of sense, especially for safety reasons.
- For training rides on E-MTBs in difficult terrain.
- In pedestrian zones or busy city centres.
To activate the desired dongle, you simply need to plug it in after installing the cabling - this is even possible while riding!
The DoubleDongle for Brose is compatible with:

DoubleDongle installation
In principle, the DoubleDongle simply needs to be connected in parallel to the speed sensor cable. Thus, the installation of the cable set is quite simple.
In principle, there are 2 ways to install the DoubleDongle cable set:
By means of branch connectors: To do this, you only have to pull the plug from the speed sensor of your e-bike and then attach the cable of the DoubleDongle with the help of the branch connector.
By soldering: In this case, you have to cut the cable to the speed sensor, strip the wires, twist them and solder the wires (by the way, the motor cannot be damaged if the polarity is accidentally reversed). Then protect the connection with heat shrink tubing.
You do not need your own battery for the DoubleDongle, the energy comes from the line of the speed sensor.

Shipping costs
The shipping costs for Germany are 3,50 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 180 Euro. For countries within the EU the shipping costs are 9,90 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 300 Euro. We ask you to cover the cost of any return shipment yourself. Please note that customs fees may apply in third countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value
The minimum order value is 25 Euro. Only from this amount you can use prepayment or PayPal and bank transfer as payment methods.
Maximum order value
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is 1.000 Euro. The maximum order value within the EU is 12.500 Euro.
Payment in advance bank transfer
Please transfer the total amount with your order number to our account which you received in the confirmation email. Please note that bank transfers within Germany can take up to three working days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria and Switzerland, usually arrive very quickly. From other countries, transfers can take a little longer on average.
Payment in advance Paypal
At the end of the order process you will be redirected to the page of Paypal. There you can initiate your payment. As soon as the Paypal transaction is completed, the status of your order will change in the store. The goods will then be shipped as soon as possible.
